Sexsmith's defense didn't have a chance, in the 2nd minute, when Faustino Bain scored to the left of an out of position Moses Tharp, making the score, 1-0. Jamal Stovall kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Calvin Lacasse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Narcisse Arsenault tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Faustino Bain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ingleside's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faustino Bain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Sexsmith's goalkeeper Moses Tharp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brent Bryson. Joël Bragg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcisse Arsenault having to interfere. Sexsmith's Joël Bragg got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 2-0 became the score in the 23rd minute when Brent Bryson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 28 minutes, Brent Bryson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ingleside's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brent Bryson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30thth minute of the game Faustino Bain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sexsmith's Moses Tharp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ingleside's goalkeeper Narcisse Arsenault, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joël Bragg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faustino Bain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. James Lane took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Moses Tharp. Sexsmith's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Brent Bryson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Moses Tharp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brent Bryson got free with Moses Tharp in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 47 played minutes Sexsmith got a freekick which was hit by Elwood Ambrose. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faustino Bain made a kick off. With a little luck, Ingleside's Narcisse Arsenault got control of the ball when Joël Bragg tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Bain in the 56th minute of play forced Sexsmith's goalkeeper Moses Tharp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brent Bryson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moses Tharp having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Randall Raines hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moses Tharp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Faustino Bain's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Moses Tharp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Bain, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When Phil Dobbs fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ingleside's protests and gave Phil Dobbs a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ingleside! Joël Bragg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Faustino Bain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moses Tharp having to interfere. When Joël Bragg in the 86th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Narcisse Arsenault kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Faustino Bain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brent Bryson in the 93rd minute of play forced Sexsmith's goalkeeper Moses Tharp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 98 played minutes Ingleside got a freekick which was hit by Juste Reynolds. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ingleside fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sexsmith had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
