In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lomond AFC's goalkeeper Chas Cotton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Lomond AFC's zone, Leopoldo Navarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chas Cotton came out of the goal and Leopoldo Navarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Gustavo Trevino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lomond AFC's Quintin Parnell couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mattice. Desmond Hodges kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Stahl in the 64th minute of play forced Mattice's goalkeeper John Cornett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Branden Irvin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chas Cotton having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Lomond AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Désiré Clarke to maneuver through the defense.
