Bellburns
Spectators: 6743 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 0) Bellburns's Kent Hathaway started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnathan Walker in the 3rd minute of play forced Edmonton's goalkeeper Zack Chatman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lane Echeverri in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mohammad Merchant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurelio Flaherty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zack Chatman having to interfere. When Lane Echeverri came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Edmonton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lane Echeverri couldn't finish the play. When Lane Echeverri got free in front of the goal in the 21st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Mohammad Merchant was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Mohammad Merchant came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Edmonton's Emanuel Ljungberg. But to his dismay, Emanuel Ljungberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Baptiste Poirier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mohammad Merchant having to make a save. In the 34th match minute, Edmonton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sean Eubanks to maneuver through the defense. Collin Huard, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Edmonton's Lane Echeverri in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bellburns's goalie prevented a goal. Emanuel Ljungberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 46th minute of the match Arlie Gilliam shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mohammad Merchant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bellburns's zone, Baptiste Poirier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohammad Merchant came out of the goal and Baptiste Poirier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lane Echeverri to make the kick off. Mohammad Merchant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baptiste Poirier in the 57th minute. In the 58th match minute, Bellburns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederic Smart to maneuver through the defense. When Emanuel Ljungberg came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Edmonton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Ljungberg couldn't finish the play. Kent Hathaway fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zack Chatman having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Emanuel Ljungberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edmonton's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Ljungberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohammad Merchant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lane Echeverri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Bellburns's goal looked a bit too open when Lane Echeverri came free, but Mohammad Merchant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Ljungberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Mohammad Merchant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Baptiste Poirier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edmonton's supporters rose to their feet, but Baptiste Poirier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A very good chance. In the 90th minute Kent Hathaway shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zack Chatman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rigoberto Pratt kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Edmonton's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
