Kris Bailey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the match, Manitowaning FC's Hippolyte Ritchie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arlen Crane narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Kristopher Darling fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ethelbert's protests and gave Kristopher Darling a yellow card for diving instead. Hippolyte Ritchie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlen Crane having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Abraham Blum was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manitowaning FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ethelbert the free kick. Abraham Blum kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 47thth minute of the game Maxwell Presley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ethelbert's Arlen Crane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maxwell Presley made a kick off. If Hippolyte Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marion Palacios during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kristopher Darling got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ethelbert's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hippolyte Ritchie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Maxwell Presley struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Arlen Crane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manitowaning FC. After 69 minutes of play, Ethelbert's Philibert L'Anglais made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kris Bailey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ignacio Ayala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Manitowaning FC's Stanton Autier got a free kick in the 82nd minute. When Philibert L'Anglais came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Ethelbert fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philibert L'Anglais couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philibert L'Anglais got free with Kris Bailey in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 90 minutes into the game, Maxwell Presley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Arlen Crane was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ethelbert players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Manitowaning FC.
