Bellburns's Mohammad Merchant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Bellburns from getting a goal against them. If Lon Gamache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Johnathan Walker's late challenge caught a Shalalth FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johnathan Walker helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Shalalth FC booed when Bellburns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnathan Walker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolland Oneill, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 25th minute Lon Gamache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohammad Merchant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dillon Sherrill got free with Mohammad Merchant in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mohammad Merchant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lon Gamache, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Aurelio Flaherty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Shalalth FC's zone, Kent Hathaway stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Slaughter came out of the goal and Kent Hathaway tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dillon Sherrill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammad Merchant having to interfere. Dillon Sherrill struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Mohammad Merchant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shalalth FC. In the 47th minute, Aurelio Flaherty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kent Hathaway stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dillon Sherrill blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mohammad Merchant having to make a save. Collin Huard's late challenge caught a Shalalth FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Collin Huard helped the player get up and apologised. Collin Huard hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Eduardo Slaughter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Hathaway, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dillon Sherrill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Mohammad Merchant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Slaughter made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Aurelio Flaherty sent off a good shot on target. If Kent Hathaway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Rigoberto Pratt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Slaughter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bellburns's Abe Abraham got a free kick in the 91st minute. Lon Gamache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bellburns players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Shalalth FC.
