Forward's supporters rose to their feet, but Carl Carson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vespasien Price breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sammy Tessier in the 14th minute of play forced Watino AFC's goalkeeper Vespasien Price to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vespasien Price made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lyman Frazier in the 16th minute. Jeremy Snyder kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Kareem Barnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Watino AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kareem Barnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lyman Frazier got free with Vespasien Price in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sammy Tessier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Vespasien Price tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Forward booed when Watino AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Tolbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sammy Tessier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Forward's Lyman Frazier managed to work through Watino AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Lyman Frazier dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sammy Tessier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kip Plourde hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Vespasien Price showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sammy Tessier in the 64th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Lyman Frazier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vespasien Price saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Dean Allred hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Lyman Frazier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vespasien Price was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Jeremiah Huang struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Gale Sutherland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Watino AFC. If Sammy Tessier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
