But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aron Woodson couldn't finish the play. Bryan Manley acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 25th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ahmad Shirley. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trevor Fitzgerald in the 27th minute of play forced Midnapore's goalkeeper Stephan Melanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Midnapore were furious when Ahmad Shirley was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Ahmad Shirley hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Midnapore's Stephan Melanson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregory Fecteau in the 32nd minute of play. Hobert Glover sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Gonzalo Griffin made a precise shot to the right of Stephan Melanson. Midnapore's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Stephan Melanson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trevor Fitzgerald in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Trevor Fitzgerald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stephan Melanson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 44thth minute of the game Hobert Glover who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Midnapore's Stephan Melanson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Paris-Saint-Germain's Gonzalo Griffin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stephan Melanson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ignace Gibson to make the kick off. Midnapore's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Hobert Glover scored to the left of an out of position Stephan Melanson, making the score, 0-6. Ignace Gibson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bryan Manley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignace Gibson, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Stephan Melanson made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Hobert Glover sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Midnapore's zone, Hobert Glover stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stephan Melanson came out of the goal and Hobert Glover tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paris-Saint-Germain's attack was well implemented in the 71st minute, but when Hobert Glover was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. When Paris-Saint-Germain's Hobert Glover in 71 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Stephan Melanson guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Stephan Melanson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rashad Huffman hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. When the match was over Paris-Saint-Germain could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Midnapore throughout the match.
