Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alex Clayton made the kick off which started today's match. Matane's Georges Paiement got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jellicoe AFC's goalkeeper Dustin Parrot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 16 played minutes Jellicoe AFC got a freekick which was hit by Julius Gendron. In the 17th minute of the match Fausto Dubeau sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dustin Parrot skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Logan Lyon in the 24th minute of play forced Matane's goalkeeper Garrett Logan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Georges Paiement fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dustin Parrot having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, Matane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Reese to maneuver through the defense. Garrett Logan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jospeh Flynn, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A collision led to Jellicoe AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Julius Gendron hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Julius Lauzier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Logan Lyon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Garrett Logan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jospeh Flynn made a kick off. Alex Clayton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Logan Lyon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garrett Logan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Logan Lyon in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Jellicoe AFC's Nicolas Bonilla broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Logan Lyon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jospeh Flynn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garrett Logan having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Matane's goal looked a bit too open when Jospeh Flynn came free, but Garrett Logan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Dustin Parrot successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Matane getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Julius Lauzier hit a great ball. Georges Paiement could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Dustin Parrot made a huge save. Samuel Hanks hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jellicoe AFC's zone, Alex Clayton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dustin Parrot came out of the goal and Alex Clayton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Matane players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Jellicoe AFC.
