Karl Ladner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Clayton in the 7th minute of play. After 7 minutes of play, Matane's Alex Clayton made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl Ladner was left in no man's land by his defense there! In a very dangerous position, a player in Manouane fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Matane. Fausto Dubeau stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Karl Ladner. 0-2. Clayton Crawford charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clayton Crawford the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Manouane's Carter Rouse slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Garrett Logan. That made the score 1-2 after 20 minutes of play. Georges Paiement fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Ladner having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Manouane got a freekick which was hit by Mac Hanna. In the 35th minute, Val Winkler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Carter Rouse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manouane's supporters rose to their feet, but Carter Rouse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garrett Logan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manouane's Dennis Michel got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Garrett Logan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dennis Michel in the 44th minute. After a rather tough play, Manouane's Hipolito Gibbs got a free kick in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georges Paiement in the 47th minute of play forced Manouane's goalkeeper Karl Ladner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alex Clayton to strike the kick off in the second half. Karl Ladner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Clayton in the 51st minute of the match. If Carter Rouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garrett Logan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carter Rouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Georges Paiement had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Clayton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Ladner having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Val Winkler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carter Rouse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Garrett Logan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Hipolito Gibbs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manouane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matane the free kick. Donn Sample hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 80th play minute Georges Paiement came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Karl Ladner. 1-4. When Matane's Alex Clayton in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manouane's goalie prevented a goal. In the 89th minute of the match, Alex Clayton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Karl Ladner saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alex Clayton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Karl Ladner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Manouane's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alex Clayton fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Manouane's Karl Ladner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Manouane from getting a goal against them. The Matane players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
