Liscomb's Woodrow Dawkins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Liscomb from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute Bruce Bates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Woodrow Dawkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Liscomb's Bradley Pate nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Prosper Osborn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Claude Rushing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Woodrow Dawkins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Bates in the 33rd minute of the match. Ezekiel Sneed kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. When Bruce Bates fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Richmond's protests and gave Bruce Bates a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Emmanuel Wood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Bradley Pate's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prosper Osborn was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruce Bates to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Liscomb's zone, Bruce Bates stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Woodrow Dawkins came out of the goal and Bruce Bates tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Woodrow Dawkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce Bates in the 57th minute of play. Prosper Osborn made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Bradley Pate sent off a good shot on target. Richmond's Claude Rushing got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claude Rushing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute Bruce Bates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Woodrow Dawkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Woodrow Dawkins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Bates in the 67th minute of the match. Woodrow Dawkins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruce Bates's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Prosper Osborn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emmanuel Wood's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Bruce Bates struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Woodrow Dawkins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Richmond. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Emmanuel Wood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liscomb's supporters rose to their feet, but Emmanuel Wood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prosper Osborn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richmond's Prosper Osborn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Richmond from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Richmond getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Jamie Richard hit a great ball. Emmanuel Wood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Prosper Osborn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emmanuel Wood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Liscomb walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
