Spectators: 6715 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bruce Bates got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Richmond's Gratien Jackson got a free kick in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Terrence Mooney cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Claude Rushing could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Vern Benoit however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Richmond getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jamie Richard hit a great ball. Kluahne AFC's Terrence Mooney got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kluahne AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Bruce Bates scored to the left of an out of position Vern Benoit, making the score, 1-1. In the 29th minute of the match, Bruce Bates tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vern Benoit saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bruce Bates had several of the Kluahne AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 31 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Vern Benoit as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, Kluahne AFC's Yves Provencher got a free kick in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Richmond's Bruce Bates sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vern Benoit narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Richmond booed when Kluahne AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Gamble didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claude Rushing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kluahne AFC's Vern Benoit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruce Bates in the 40th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Kluahne AFC's goalkeeper Vern Benoit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claude Rushing. Vern Benoit was a little too slow when Bruce Bates got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucas Couet to make the kick off. Lucas Couet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prosper Osborn having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Couet came free, but Prosper Osborn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lucas Couet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 minutes, Terrence Mooney made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Richmond's Prosper Osborn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Brice Bérard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vern Benoit. Kluahne AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Couet in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Prosper Osborn saved Richmond from getting behind. In the 83rd match minute, Richmond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jamie Richard to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th match minute, Richmond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brice Bérard to maneuver through the defense. Terrence Mooney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Claude Rushing came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Richmond fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claude Rushing couldn't finish the play. Claude Rushing hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Richmond's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
