Rico Stringer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Alfaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jay Fitzpatrick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Colby Nguyen was the one to do the kick off. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Valeport's Jack Pineda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chi McKee in the 92nd minute of play. Vito Alfaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Colby Nguyen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rico Stringer having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
