Carlton Kimble started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlton Kimble in the 3rd minute of play forced Richmond's goalkeeper Prosper Osborn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prosper Osborn came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Alliance AFC's Carlton Kimble. But to his dismay, Carlton Kimble quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlton Kimble in the 8th minute of play forced Richmond's goalkeeper Prosper Osborn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bruce Bates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prosper Osborn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlton Kimble in the 15th minute of the match. If Anderson Ohara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Carlton Kimble shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prosper Osborn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Anderson Ohara came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Alliance AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson Ohara couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, Alliance AFC's goalkeeper Josh Pépin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gratien Jackson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Bates in the 46th minute of play forced Alliance AFC's goalkeeper Josh Pépin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Alliance AFC's Josh Pépin got control of the ball when Claude Rushing tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Richmond players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alliance AFC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruce Bates to strike the kick off in the second half. Josh Pépin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce Bates in the 53rd minute of play. Josh Pépin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claude Rushing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alliance AFC's Josh Pépin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruce Bates in the 65th minute of play. Carlton Kimble sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlton Kimble fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prosper Osborn having to interfere. Carlton Kimble might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Prosper Osborn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlton Kimble ran back to his position shaking his head. When Carlton Kimble came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Alliance AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlton Kimble couldn't finish the play. Alliance AFC's Josh Pépin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruce Bates in the 90th minute of play. Josh Pépin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Bates in the 92nd minute of the match. Terry Leduc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prosper Osborn having to interfere. The Alliance AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
