Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fredric Friedman started the match with the kick off. With an all-out effort, Bitumount's Rico Stringer threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fredric Friedman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 37 played minutes Monitor got a freekick which was hit by Cody Caudill. Fredric Friedman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chi McKee was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Bitumount's Carroll Beausoleil got control of the ball when Jay Fitzpatrick tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bitumount's Fredric Friedman got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fredric Friedman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rico Stringer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredric Friedman in the 59th minute of play forced Monitor's goalkeeper Rico Stringer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tyron Marion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Monitor's goal looked a bit too open when Fredric Friedman came free, but Rico Stringer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Chi McKee dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carroll Beausoleil, 1-1. The audience was convinced that Fredric Friedman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rico Stringer was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. The supporters of Bitumount booed when Monitor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lynwood Margand didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Fredric Friedman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bitumount fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Jay Fitzpatrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Monitor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
