The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vern Benoit showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Terrence Mooney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Hilton Guy made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rickie Aragon in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vern Benoit saved Kluahne AFC from getting behind. The supporters of Kluahne AFC booed when Red Deer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklyn Forbes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Terrence Mooney struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Hilton Guy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kluahne AFC. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rickie Aragon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hilton Guy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Couet, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Red Deer's Tyrone Fitzpatrick got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Kluahne AFC's goalkeeper Vern Benoit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rickie Aragon. After a rather tough play, Kluahne AFC's Lorenzo Dean got a free kick in the 90th minute. Kluahne AFC's Vern Benoit proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Kluahne AFC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Percy Maher managed to get in a good position for a shot.
