With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolland Blue in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Ruffin saved Longbank from getting behind. 20 minutes into the game, Longbank's Thurman Blanchard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Keenan Oneill made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 23rd minute Millard Baca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keenan Oneill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keenan Oneill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thurman Blanchard, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. If Thurman Blanchard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thurman Blanchard in the 31st minute of play forced Barvas FC's goalkeeper Keenan Oneill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolland Blue stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
