Spectators: 6729 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 0) Ralph Leonard started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Millard Baca in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wyatt Boisvert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Marco Ruffin managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Normetal's Haywood Payton fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Normetal's Ralph Leonard got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Ruffin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralph Leonard in the 12th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Ralph Leonard recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marco Ruffin. Ralph Leonard showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Ralph Leonard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Millard Baca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Marco Ruffin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Haywood Payton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Marco Ruffin made a huge save. Marco Ruffin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralph Leonard in the 40th minute of play. If Haywood Payton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Derick Kaufman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Longbank's Derick Kaufman got a free kick in the 48th minute. After having played for 49 minutes, Ralph Leonard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Normetal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralph Leonard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Millard Baca was the one to do the kick off. In the 62nd match minute, Longbank was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Barger to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Teodoro Marrero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Ruffin skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Longbank's Derick Kaufman got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Ralph Leonard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marco Ruffin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralph Leonard, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Millard Baca in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wyatt Boisvert saved Normetal from getting behind. Longbank's Millard Baca got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Haywood Payton came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Normetal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haywood Payton couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute Haywood Payton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Ruffin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Ruffin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haywood Payton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Normetal's Haywood Payton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Ruffin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marco Ruffin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Haywood Payton's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Marco Ruffin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralph Leonard, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Haywood Payton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ralph Leonard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Ruffin having to interfere. In the 98th minute, Normetal's Teodoro Marrero seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Teodoro Marrero the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Normetal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Teodoro Marrero had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 97th minute, one of Normetal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Normetal. Romeo Barger placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Normetal had won after a very even match.
