Joaquin Sampson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristopher McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th match minute, Demers Beaulne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curtis Cantu to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Sampson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iréné Dawkins having to interfere. Tim Flynn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Cristopher McDonald got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 34 minutes of play, Hawkeye's Cristopher McDonald made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iréné Dawkins was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Tim Flynn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hawkeye's supporters rose to their feet, but Tim Flynn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iréné Dawkins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cristopher McDonald came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Hawkeye fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristopher McDonald couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquin Sampson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristopher McDonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Iréné Dawkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vernon Langford in the 55th minute of play forced Demers Beaulne's goalkeeper Iréné Dawkins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Joaquin Sampson sped through Demers Beaulne's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iréné Dawkins. In the 89th minute, Vernon Langford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gonzalo Montes struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Iréné Dawkins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hawkeye.
