After a defensive mix-up in Weenusk's zone, Curtis Cantu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Flint came out of the goal and Curtis Cantu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lamar Perdue hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. If Georges Rutledge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lynwood Merchant during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Curtis Cantu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Demers Beaulne's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Sergio Shipp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sergio Shipp came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Weenusk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Shipp couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, Demers Beaulne's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Shipp came free, but Iréné Dawkins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onesime Haley in the 38th minute of play forced Weenusk's goalkeeper Roman Flint to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 minutes, Sylvestre Craft mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Demers Beaulne and the Weenusk players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Sylvestre Craft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Georges Rutledge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iréné Dawkins having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Onesime Haley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Georges Rutledge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Demers Beaulne's Iréné Dawkins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Demers Beaulne from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Georges Rutledge got free with Iréné Dawkins in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Curtis Cantu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Roman Flint tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Weenusk's Roman Flint played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Onesime Haley in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Curtis Cantu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Demers Beaulne's supporters rose to their feet, but Curtis Cantu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Flint breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Demers Beaulne booed when Weenusk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claude Dolan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Weenusk's goal looked a bit too open when Onesime Haley came free, but Roman Flint reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Weenusk's Sergio Shipp in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Iréné Dawkins guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 89 minutes into the match, Demers Beaulne's Onesime Haley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roman Flint narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
