Spectators: 6734 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Norman Ritchie got the match started through his kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Rudy Plummer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th minute, Thibault Seymour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kory Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rudy Plummer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Hollis Lécuyer took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rudy Plummer to make any attempt to save it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hollis Lécuyer was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes Bolsdale's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dong Calderon who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Dong Calderon almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bolsdale's Clark Caballero did a great save. Leif Triplett's late challenge caught a Ponoka AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leif Triplett helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bolsdale getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Leif Triplett hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Dee Engel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ponoka AFC's Rudy Plummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kory Rosa in the 80th minute of play. Bolsdale's Kory Rosa got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kory Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Rudy Plummer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hollis Lécuyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Plummer having to interfere. Ponoka AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
