Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Kerry Wilkes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rudy Plummer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michael Barnes to make the kick off. Jimmy Chicoine came out of the goal and Norman Ritchie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rudy Plummer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michael Barnes went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Kerry Wilkes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Kerry Wilkes came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Revelstoke AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kerry Wilkes couldn't finish the play.
