Qausuittuq AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Derval FC the free kick. In the 23rd minute Marin Ochoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hippolyte Hyde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rich L'Anglais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bert Parks to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Derval FC got a freekick which was hit by Anselme Flaherty. Marin Ochoa might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hippolyte Hyde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marin Ochoa ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Lowell Sanchez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elvis Lafontaine was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 57th minute, Dick Robertson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elvis Lafontaine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rich L'Anglais, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute, Bert Parks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rich L'Anglais took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elvis Lafontaine. Elvis Lafontaine dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Marin Ochoas short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Hippolyte Hyde to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
