Trenton Rosas was a little too slow when Norman Ritchie got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 14th minute Josef Tinsley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudy Plummer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ponoka AFC's goalkeeper Rudy Plummer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Sevenpersons AFC booed when Ponoka AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bennie Berg didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jackie Putnam in the 20th minute of play forced Ponoka AFC's goalkeeper Rudy Plummer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Josef Tinsley came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Sevenpersons AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josef Tinsley couldn't finish the play. After 36 played minutes Sevenpersons AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rex Reyes. Dee Engel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Trenton Rosas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dee Engel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Trenton Rosas having to make a save. Trenton Rosas made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Dee Engel sent off a good shot on target. After 43 played minutes Sevenpersons AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ethan Lozano. 45 minutes into the game, Solomon Overton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sevenpersons AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ponoka AFC the free kick. The supporters of Ponoka AFC booed when Sevenpersons AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Solomon Overton didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Norman Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Norman Ritchie to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Dee Engel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ponoka AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 60 minutes into the game, Ponoka AFC's Norman Ritchie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Trenton Rosas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 65th minute, Ponoka AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Josef Tinsley fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 66 minutes into the game, Bennie Berg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ponoka AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sevenpersons AFC the free kick. In the 66th minute, Bennie Berg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josef Tinsley in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rudy Plummer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Ponoka AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Thibault Seymour hit a great ball. Sevenpersons AFC's Jackie Putnam got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norman Ritchie hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Jackie Putnam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Ponoka AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jackie Putnam came free, but Rudy Plummer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sevenpersons AFC's Tyrell Rainey got a free kick in the 89th minute. Norman Ritchie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Trenton Rosas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of Sevenpersons AFC booed when Ponoka AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bennie Berg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josef Tinsley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rudy Plummer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ponoka AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sevenpersons AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
