Qausuittuq AFC's Elvis Lafontaine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hollis Lécuyer in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Qausuittuq AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hollis Lécuyer came free, but Elvis Lafontaine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute Bert Parks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clark Caballero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bolsdale's Hollis Lécuyer got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Bolsdale's Hollis Lécuyer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elvis Lafontaine. That made the score 1-0 after 25 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marin Ochoa during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th minute, Marin Ochoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leif Triplett might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elvis Lafontaine. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leif Triplett ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Qausuittuq AFC's Dick Robertson got a free kick in the 34th minute. Kory Rosas short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Elvis Lafontaine to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bert Parks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Clark Caballero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Bolsdale getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Hollis Lécuyer hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bert Parks made a kick off. Kory Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Elvis Lafontaine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bolsdale booed when Qausuittuq AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Landers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elvis Lafontaine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hollis Lécuyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute.
