Deon Lamour took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frances Vance. Colpton FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maxwell Merritt during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Colpton FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Maxwell Merritt hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Qausuittuq AFC's Dick Robertson got a free kick in the 37th minute. Warren Allen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvis Lafontaine having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 91st minute, Warren Allen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
