After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Rich L'Anglais managed to get in a good position for a shot. Derval FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rich L'Anglais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trenton Rosas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jackie Putnam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Hippolyte Hyde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lowell Sanchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trenton Rosas having to interfere. Trenton Rosas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rich L'Anglais in the 31st minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Omar Timmons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omar Timmons struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Trenton Rosas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Derval FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lowell Sanchez got free with Trenton Rosas in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The audience was convinced that Lowell Sanchez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trenton Rosas was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Hippolyte Hyde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josef Tinsley in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sevenpersons AFC's zone, Rich L'Anglais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trenton Rosas came out of the goal and Rich L'Anglais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jackie Putnam might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hippolyte Hyde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jackie Putnam ran back to his position shaking his head. Derval FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sevenpersons AFC for a fine match.
