Arthur AFC's Brendon Chatigny proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Arthur AFC from getting a goal against them. Shaunavon AFC's Raul Sheffield got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Arthur AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Shaunavon AFC:s goal. Arthur AFC:s Brendon Chatigny showed great skill when he stopped Sylvestre Cox:s penalty. In the 32nd minute, Sylvestre Cox left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shaunavon AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 35 minutes into the match, Arthur AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lynwood Bates came free, but Brendon Chatigny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lynn Rivas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Driscoll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ronald Lamothe made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Arthur AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ronald Lamothe hit a great ball. Antoine Villeneuve was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 64 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Shaunavon AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Lynn Rivas, was totally fooled by Arthur AFC's Lazare Lépicier, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Raul Sheffield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Brendon Chatigny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shaunavon AFC's goalkeeper Lynn Rivas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tristan Serrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Arthur AFC's Timothy Clinton got a free kick in the 80th minute. Jean Driscoll sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th match minute, Shaunavon AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tristan Serrano to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Lazare Lépicier in the 86th minute really tested Lynn Rivas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Arthur AFC booed when Shaunavon AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantin Labossière didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean Driscoll blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lynn Rivas having to make a save. The Shaunavon AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arthur AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Arthur AFC.
