Mississauga's Eugène Noble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lynwood Bates in the 6th minute of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Noé Chesnay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shaunavon AFC's Lynn Rivas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Shaunavon AFC's Lynn Rivas got control of the ball when Roland Vasquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute, Tristan Serrano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mississauga's Santiago Harrington got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Noé Chesnay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lynn Rivas having to interfere. Lynwood Bates's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugène Noble read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Lynwood Bates made the kick off in the second half. Lynn Rivas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roscoe Kohler in the 51st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Shaunavon AFC's zone, Roland Vasquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lynn Rivas came out of the goal and Roland Vasquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noé Chesnay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th match minute, Shaunavon AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Parish to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Roland Vasquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lynn Rivas was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. When Mississauga's Roland Vasquez in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Roland Vasquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute Noé Chesnay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lynn Rivas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugène Noble took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lynwood Bates, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 80 minutes, Lynwood Bates managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shaunavon AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lynwood Bates was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lynwood Bates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugène Noble having to interfere. With a little luck, Mississauga's Eugène Noble got control of the ball when Raul Sheffield tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lynwood Bates recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Shaunavon AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Shaunavon AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
