Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Leon Nadeau kicked off to start the match. Hectanooga's Connie Kimbrough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armel Amos in the 4th minute of play. If Noel Archambault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Delmar Rivers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dirk Aponte came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Hectanooga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dirk Aponte couldn't finish the play. Delmar Rivers hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Dirk Aponte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Hectanooga booed when Rockport AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heath Melendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Louis Cote in the 19th minute really tested Bradford Mayes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Delmar Rivers kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Noel Archambault got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute Leon Nadeau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradford Mayes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Connie Kimbrough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armel Amos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Armel Amos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bradford Mayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Nadeau, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute of the match Hectanooga got a corner. Rockport AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Louis Cote ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jefferey McCormick kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Armel Amos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connie Kimbrough having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a defensive mix-up in Hectanooga's zone, Noel Archambault stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Connie Kimbrough came out of the goal and Noel Archambault tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 53 played minutes Hectanooga got a freekick which was hit by Jefferey McCormick. In the 56th minute, Dirk Aponte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bradford Mayes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Boyce Holley hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Rockport AFC's Armel Amos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Connie Kimbrough narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Herbert Schmitt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Rockport AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Nadeau came free, but Bradford Mayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rockport AFC's Jake Barton got a free kick in the 74th minute. A collision led to Hectanooga getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Dirk Aponte hit a great ball. With 82 minutes on the clock, Justin Jenkins commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 81 minutes into the game, one of Rockport AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Nadeau in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bradford Mayes saved Rockport AFC from getting behind. If Dirk Aponte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hectanooga booed when Rockport AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmen Coles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leon Nadeau in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bradford Mayes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dirk Aponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rockport AFC's Bradford Mayes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Nadeau in the 99th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hectanooga fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rockport AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
