Spectators: 6756 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1756, VIP seats: 0) Sarnia's Dominique Sauriol started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Minh Ruth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darrel Ohara having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillaume Curtis got free with Ned Farmer in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guillaume Curtis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ned Farmer firmly grabbed it by the left post. Darrel Ohara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diodore Clement, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diodore Clement in the 13th minute of play forced Sarnia's goalkeeper Darrel Ohara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Guillaume Curtis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillaume Curtis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ned Farmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Riondel FC's Ned Farmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominique Sauriol in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarnia's goalkeeper Darrel Ohara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Dominique Sauriol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillaume Curtis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ned Farmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Josiah Driver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diodore Clement made a kick off. Diodore Clement's late challenge caught a Sarnia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diodore Clement helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Riondel FC got a freekick which was hit by Diodore Clement. 61 minutes in the game, Diodore Clement fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Darrel Ohara having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alec Gipson during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Sarnia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alec Gipson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 63 minutes, Minh Ruth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riondel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Minh Ruth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diodore Clement in the 65th minute of play forced Sarnia's goalkeeper Darrel Ohara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Riondel FC's Rosario Layton got a free kick in the 67th minute. 73 minutes into the game, Gabriel Burroughs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarnia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riondel FC the free kick. The supporters of Riondel FC booed when Sarnia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Burroughs didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dominique Sauriol in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ned Farmer saved Riondel FC from getting behind. If Rosario Layton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dominique Sauriol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ned Farmer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Alphonse Houle kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes, Sarnia's Myles Atwood shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ned Farmer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sarnia reached it. Darrel Ohara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diodore Clement in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sarnia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Riondel FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
