After 10 minutes of play, Palmarolle FC's Danilo Briard made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Connie Kimbrough was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ismael Leary had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. Connie Kimbrough was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 22 minutes into the match, Hectanooga's goal looked a bit too open when Kenny Sanderson came free, but Connie Kimbrough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 minutes, Danilo Briard made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Hectanooga's Connie Kimbrough tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmarolle FC's goalkeeper Terrance Pennington, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Connie Kimbrough stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danilo Briard's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Hectanooga's Dirk Aponte got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Horacio Lundy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dirk Aponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kenny Sanderson in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Connie Kimbrough saved Hectanooga from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Danilo Briard made a kick off. If Danilo Briard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Connie Kimbrough managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Palmarolle FC's Kenny Sanderson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hectanooga's Connie Kimbrough proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Hectanooga from getting a goal against them. If Danilo Briard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Nadeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terrance Pennington having to interfere. Kenny Sanderson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Connie Kimbrough having to make a save. If Danilo Briard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palmarolle FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
