The audience was convinced that Rich Dubois's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bradford Mayes was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Delmar Rivers helped the player get up and apologised. Delmar Rivers hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Rockport AFC's Bradford Mayes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rich Dubois in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benito Cutler to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rockport AFC's goalkeeper Bradford Mayes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armel Amos in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rickey Delarosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Humboldt FC's Rickey Delarosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Archambault in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Cutler in the 88th minute of play forced Rockport AFC's goalkeeper Bradford Mayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Humboldt FC's Lawrence Hubbard got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After 97 minutes, Cristopher Fuller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Humboldt FC and the Rockport AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Humboldt FC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Cristopher Fuller hit a great ball. Humboldt FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
