Spectators: 6727 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Forrest Guzman took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute of the match, Benito Cutler tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommie Gougeon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rickey Delarosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Forrest Guzman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute, Sammy Hart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Cutler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rich Dubois's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommie Gougeon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Rodney Duplanty was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 30th match minute, Niagara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lawrence Lagueux to maneuver through the defense. Tommie Gougeon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Cutler in the 31st minute of play. After some careless play in the Humboldt FC defense, Forrest Guzman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rickey Delarosa. The Humboldt FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rickey Delarosa should have stopped the shot. Sammy Hart hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40thth minute of the game Forrest Guzman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Humboldt FC's Rickey Delarosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41st match minute, Humboldt FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnathan Chen to maneuver through the defense. When Benito Cutler came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Humboldt FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Cutler couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Cutler in the 46th minute of play forced Niagara's goalkeeper Tommie Gougeon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rich Dubois in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommie Gougeon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tommie Gougeon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rich Dubois in the 60th minute of play. Humboldt FC's Rickey Delarosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Humboldt FC from getting a goal against them. Rickey Delarosa came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Niagara's Adam Shipp. But to his dismay, Adam Shipp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After having played for 73 minutes, Benito Cutler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Humboldt FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Cutler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niagara's Tommie Gougeon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Cutler in the 79th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Niagara got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Gauthier. Tommie Gougeon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rich Dubois in the 85th minute of the match. Forrest Guzman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humboldt FC's Rich Dubois got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tommie Gougeon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Cutler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
