After having played for 15 minutes, Adam Shipp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Niagara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adam Shipp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Niagara's Forrest Guzman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Darrel Ohara was a little too slow when Lawrence Lagueux got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Forrest Guzman in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darrel Ohara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alec Gipson kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Alec Gipson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarnia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Niagara the free kick. Adam Shipp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute.
