With his leg Xavier Compton managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Carmel AFC's Nicholas Ponce fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Joseph Akins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micah Gilbert in the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Barraute FC's zone, Vincenzo Brodeur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavier Compton came out of the goal and Vincenzo Brodeur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Barraute FC's Xavier Compton got control of the ball when Nicholas Ponce tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vincenzo Brodeur in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xavier Compton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute Micah Gilbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Akins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joseph Akins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Benjamin in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Ronnie Green shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xavier Compton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Xavier Compton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincenzo Brodeur in the 42nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Vincenzo Brodeur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xavier Compton was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. In the 45th match minute, Barraute FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arron Bermudez to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vincenzo Brodeur to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Micah Gilbert in the 53rd minute of play forced Carmel AFC's goalkeeper Joseph Akins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rueben Brennan charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rueben Brennan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Barraute FC got a freekick which was hit by Rueben Brennan. Joseph Akins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Benjamin in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Carmel AFC's zone, Micah Gilbert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joseph Akins came out of the goal and Micah Gilbert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Benjamin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nicholas Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Barraute FC booed when Carmel AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antwan Simms didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Head, 84 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Oscar Benjamin took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Joseph Akins to make any attempt to save it. Oscar Benjamin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Akins having to interfere. After 95 minutes, Louis Siegel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carmel AFC and the Barraute FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Louis Siegel hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Barraute FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
