Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Micah Gilbert started the match with the kick off. Ermenegilde Babcock hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. The supporters of Hectanooga booed when Barraute FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Micah Gilbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes, Hectanooga's Louis Cote shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Xavier Compton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hectanooga reached it. 7 minutes into the match, Barraute FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Nadeau came free, but Xavier Compton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barraute FC's Xavier Compton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Aponte in the 9th minute of play. Leon Nadeau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Xavier Compton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Connie Kimbrough made an important save on a dangerous shot by Micah Gilbert in the 17th minute. Micah Gilbert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Connie Kimbrough read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Dirk Aponte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Compton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Dirk Aponte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Xavier Compton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 33 minutes Hectanooga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonathan Head who took care of the corner kick. Jonathan Head made a great header on Barraute FC's corner, it was just that Hectanooga's Connie Kimbrough managed to reach the ball for a save. After 34 played minutes Barraute FC got a freekick which was hit by Johnson Feliciano. After 36 played minutes Hectanooga got a freekick which was hit by Leon Nadeau. Xavier Compton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Aponte in the 39th minute of play. Boyce Holley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leon Nadeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Compton having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leon Nadeau made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Oscar Benjamin made a precise shot to the right of Connie Kimbrough. Hectanooga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After having played for 58 minutes, Dirk Aponte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hectanooga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dirk Aponte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Connie Kimbrough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Micah Gilbert in the 62nd minute of play. If Dirk Aponte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Xavier Compton managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Hectanooga's Dirk Aponte fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Micah Gilbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Connie Kimbrough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Dirk Aponte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hectanooga's supporters rose to their feet, but Dirk Aponte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier Compton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute, Oscar Benjamin made a precise shot to the right of Connie Kimbrough. Hectanooga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Leon Nadeau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hectanooga's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Nadeau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier Compton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Barraute FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Hectanooga for much of the match.
