Milan Huard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Gaines in the 20th minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Maurice Gaines managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haileybury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurice Gaines was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurice Gaines got in the 26th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Milan Huard handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After having played for 28 minutes, Maurice Gaines managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haileybury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurice Gaines was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Milan Huard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Gaines in the 29th minute of the match. After 31 minutes Paulatuk AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Allan Duplanty who took care of the corner kick. Maurice Gaines got in the 35th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Milan Huard handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Gaines in the 36th minute of play forced Paulatuk AFC's goalkeeper Milan Huard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Haileybury's Maurice Gaines sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Milan Huard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 41 minutes, Maurice Gaines managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haileybury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurice Gaines was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 played minutes Haileybury got a freekick which was hit by Terence Driscoll. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gautier Wheeler made a kick off. If Dino Hunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurice Gaines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milan Huard having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Gautier Wheeler notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Haileybury's Ollie Rhéaume. Ollie Rhéaume was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 64 minutes into the game, Maurice Gaines lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Milan Huard. Maurice Gaines's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Milan Huard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Maurice Gaines succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 71st playminute. 76 minutes into the match, Maurice Gaines notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Paulatuk AFC's Milan Huard. Milan Huard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurice Gaines got free with Milan Huard in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henri Block in the 84th minute of play forced Paulatuk AFC's goalkeeper Milan Huard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Basile Strange was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paulatuk AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haileybury the free kick. After 84 played minutes Paulatuk AFC got a freekick which was hit by Basile Strange. When Maurice Gaines came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Haileybury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Gaines couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Haileybury left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paulatuk AFC.
