Kim Reece was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 9th minute Telesphore Engle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bryant Jewell might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alejandro Ingram. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bryant Jewell ran back to his position shaking his head. If Bryant Jewell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnnie Otero in the 19th minute of play forced Metabechuoan's goalkeeper Kim Reece to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gary Stein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Kim Reece tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johnnie Otero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kim Reece read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bryant Jewell got free with Alejandro Ingram in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johnnie Otero in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kim Reece prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37thth minute of the game Johnnie Otero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Metabechuoan's Kim Reece was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gary Stein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Kim Reece tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kenogami's Gary Stein in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Metabechuoan's goalie prevented a goal. Kim Reece showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gary Stein, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Telesphore Engle was the one to do the kick off. Gary Stein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 played minutes Kenogami got a freekick which was hit by Korey Wilcox. Léon Oneil walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Gary Stein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Metabechuoan getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Francisco Parks hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Gary Stein kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kim Reece. That made the score 0-2 in the 85 minute of play. In the 89th minute, Johnnie Otero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Metabechuoan's goalkeeper Kim Reece, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Metabechuoan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Johnnie Otero fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gary Stein got in the 96th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Kim Reece handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Kim Reece took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gary Stein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bobbie Holley hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Kenogami's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
