After having played for 10 minutes, Giovanni Law managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Broadview's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giovanni Law was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kim Reece made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denny Caldwell in the 13th minute of play. Broadview's Giovanni Law got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Broadview's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Telesphore Engle scored to the left of an out of position Monty Vaughan, making the score, 1-0. Metabechuoan's Bryant Jewell got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Arnold Duplessis fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metabechuoan's protests and gave Arnold Duplessis a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Metabechuoan got a freekick which was hit by Arnold Duplessis. If Giovanni Law had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Metabechuoan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Broadview:s goal. The referee gave Broadview a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rafael Glass, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Metabechuoan's Kim Reece. 1-1. Bryant Jewell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monty Vaughan having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Metabechuoan's Telesphore Engle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Monty Vaughan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denny Caldwell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kim Reece was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Denny Caldwell showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. A collision led to Broadview getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ferdinand Kane hit a great ball. Léon Oneil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Monty Vaughan. Broadview's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Giovanni Law got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-4 in the right cross in the 67th match minute before Kim Reece had time to react. Arnold Duplessis kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Metabechuoan's goalkeeper Kim Reece, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bryant Jewell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Monty Vaughan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Broadview defense, Telesphore Engle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Monty Vaughan. The Broadview fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Monty Vaughan should have stopped the shot. Brady Elmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Monty Vaughan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 83 minutes, Bryant Jewell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bryant Jewell in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Monty Vaughan saved Broadview from getting behind. Broadview were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Metabechuoan's much stronger midfield.
