Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marcellus Myers took the kick off in the first half of the match. Olen Espinosa hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the game, Morgan Smart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Noranda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Neilburg FC the free kick. The supporters of Neilburg FC booed when Noranda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morgan Smart didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Neilburg FC's Bryan Pichette got a free kick in the 15th minute. Gil Sweeney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcellus Myers in the 20th minute of play. If Marcellus Myers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noranda's Régis Bloom got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Neilburg FC's Percy Wyatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Régis Bloom in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Bloom in the 31st minute of play forced Neilburg FC's goalkeeper Percy Wyatt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th match minute, Noranda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morgan Smart to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Noranda's zone, Marcellus Myers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Sweeney came out of the goal and Marcellus Myers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Régis Bloom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Régis Bloom made a kick off. Noranda's Régis Bloom got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Percy Wyatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clyde Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olen Espinosa hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Evan Richer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gil Sweeney. Noranda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Neilburg FC's goalkeeper Percy Wyatt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 68 minutes into the game, Noranda's Clyde Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Percy Wyatt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Régis Bloom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noranda's Gil Sweeney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcellus Myers in the 83rd minute of play. If Ermenegilde Paul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Neilburg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Régis Bloom came free, but Percy Wyatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noranda's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
