Spectators: 7456 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Timothée Casgrain took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ollie Rhéaume took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timothée Casgrain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, Haileybury's goal looked a bit too open when Terence Christensen came free, but Ollie Rhéaume reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Maurice Gaines managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haileybury's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurice Gaines was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tom Donnelly breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurice Gaines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wrigley's Tom Donnelly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Wrigley from getting a goal against them. When Terence Christensen fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wrigley's protests and gave Terence Christensen a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Wrigley got a freekick which was hit by Terence Christensen. Tom Donnelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri Block in the 19th minute of play. With his leg Tom Donnelly managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Haileybury's Maurice Gaines fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Wrigley's zone, Kris Guillory stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Donnelly came out of the goal and Kris Guillory tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jim Coffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Haileybury's Maurice Gaines sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tom Donnelly narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maurice Gaines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Maurice Gaines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Wrigley getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Buford Gould hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wrigley's zone, Maurice Gaines stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Donnelly came out of the goal and Maurice Gaines tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kris Guillory who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Tom Donnelly when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Wrigley's Raleigh Allain got a free kick in the 44th minute. Wrigley's Tom Donnelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Guillory in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Maurice Gaines made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Haileybury's Maurice Gaines nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tom Donnelly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 55 played minutes Wrigley got a freekick which was hit by Buford Gould. Maurice Gaines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Tom Donnelly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tom Donnelly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Gaines, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Haileybury's Maurice Gaines got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kris Guillory fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Donnelly having to interfere. Kris Guillory took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tom Donnelly. Tom Donnelly dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When Benny Kimbrough came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Haileybury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benny Kimbrough couldn't finish the play. Kris Guillory recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maurice Gaines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Tom Donnelly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Haileybury booed when Wrigley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buford Gould didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benny Kimbrough struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Tom Donnelly didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haileybury. There was no doubt that Haileybury were the better team. Haileybury's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
