In the 4thth minute of the game Rudolf Gilmore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hornepayne AFC's Hubert Beverly was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Merrill Sanders charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Merrill Sanders the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Merrill Sanders hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Saucedo in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frédéric Arcouet saved Wedgeport from getting behind. If Christian Saucedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the game, one of Wedgeport:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 23 minutes into the match, Wedgeport's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Saucedo came free, but Frédéric Arcouet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Emil D'Avis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frédéric Arcouet. Wedgeport's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emil D'Avis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 38 minutes into the game, Ivan Gustafson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wedgeport's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hornepayne AFC the free kick. Frédéric Arcouet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil D'Avis in the 39th minute of the match. Ivan Gustafson kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Christian Saucedo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Frédéric Arcouet, 3-0. Rudolf Gilmore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Beverly having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christian Saucedo made a kick off. When Christian Saucedo came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Hornepayne AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Saucedo couldn't finish the play. Jewell Connors spun around in front of the goal 58 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Hornepayne AFC's goal. Hubert Beverly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolf Gilmore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rudolf Gilmores short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Hubert Beverly to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emil D'Avis in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frédéric Arcouet saved Wedgeport from getting behind. In the 70th minute, Jewell Connors left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wedgeport fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Hornepayne AFC's zone, Rudolf Gilmore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hubert Beverly came out of the goal and Rudolf Gilmore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 77 played minutes Rudolf Gilmore rounded Hornepayne AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-2. Jewell Connors blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hubert Beverly having to make a save. The supporters of Wedgeport booed when Hornepayne AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benton Holbrook didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benton Holbrook fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédéric Arcouet having to interfere. Emil D'Avis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Frédéric Arcouet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jewell Connors did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-3 to the left of a surprised Hubert Beverly 96 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
