One of Bienfait AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Aurora:s goal. 24 minutes into the match, Russell Gingras notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Bienfait AFC's Andrea Ly. Andrea Ly was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rudolf Godwin's late challenge caught a Aurora's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rudolf Godwin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, Rudolf Godwin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Russell Gingras put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Andrea Ly. When Russell Gingras, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 36 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. When Chet Bright came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Bienfait AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chet Bright couldn't finish the play. Andrea Ly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Russell Gingras, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Russell Gingras made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Malcolm Booth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aurora's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bienfait AFC the free kick. In the 52nd match minute, Aurora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Booth to maneuver through the defense. After 66 played minutes, Aurora's Theo Morton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andrea Ly came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aurora reached it. The referee ignored Aurora's protests and gave Normand Mullen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th match minute, Aurora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Normand Mullen to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Chet Bright managed to get in a good position for a shot.
