But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oswaldo Mayberry couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Bienfait AFC's zone, Heath Lord stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrea Ly came out of the goal and Heath Lord tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrea Ly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clark Lilly, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Tommie Winslow kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oswaldo Mayberry was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Rudolf Godwin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Grady Lécuyer.
