Abraham Bain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florentin Chu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. If Abraham Bain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th play minute Abraham Bain came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Florentin Chu. 1-0. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

If Jerold Beatty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tyson Proctor fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gem's protests and gave Tyson Proctor a yellow card for diving instead. Tyson Proctor hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the match, Gem's goal looked a bit too open when Jerold Beatty came free, but Stephan L'Hiver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kelley Akins kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Shepard FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Hai Staley hit a great ball. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Gem's goalkeeper Stephan L'Hiver, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Florentin Chu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Bain in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Chi Brown hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Gem getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Wallace Smalls hit a great ball. Stephan L'Hiver acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Chi Brown. Felipe Brandon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stephan L'Hiver having to make a save. In the 82nd minute, Romeo Guillory hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Jerold Beatty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shepard FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerold Beatty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stephan L'Hiver breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florentin Chu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Paquet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Brandon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abraham Bain hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
