In the 10th minute, Gorlitz AFC's Clark Price seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Clark Price the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gorlitz AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Clark Price had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Saseenos. Arnoldo Carrasco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Grady Lécuyer. 1-0. Heath Lord scored 1-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miquel Echols, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Clark Lilly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Miquel Echols tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grady Lécuyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Cliche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gorlitz AFC's Grady Lécuyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Cliche in the 30th minute of play. Karl Cliche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grady Lécuyer having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Miquel Echols made an important save on a dangerous shot by Heath Lord in the 68th minute. If Heath Lord had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 76th minute, Clark Lilly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erik Terry's late challenge caught a Gorlitz AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
