Stan Clayton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renato Richter's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Lamar Ratté sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renato Richter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stan Clayton having to interfere. Lamar Ratté received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Stan Clayton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alma AFC's Stan Clayton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Richter in the 38th minute of play. Alberto Quick struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Jackson Winslow didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alma AFC. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Alma AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
