Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Russell Gingras started the match with the kick off. Shepard FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Russell Gingras scored to the left of an out of position Florentin Chu, making the score, 1-0. If Russell Gingras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Shepard FC's goal looked a bit too open when Russell Gingras came free, but Florentin Chu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Felipe Brandon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Aurora's Russell Gingras in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Aurora's Jorge Corpeño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Brandon in the 28th minute of play. Aurora's Jules Duff got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Shepard FC's Florentin Chu got control of the ball when Russell Gingras tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39thth minute of the game Russell Gingras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shepard FC's Florentin Chu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Aurora's Russell Gingras sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florentin Chu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Russell Gingras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Shepard FC's goal looked a bit too open when Theo Morton came free, but Florentin Chu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Russell Gingras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentin Chu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerold Beatty to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Normand Mullen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florentin Chu was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Florentin Chu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Russell Gingras's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 55th match minute, Aurora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Booth to maneuver through the defense. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florentin Chu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute Russell Gingras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentin Chu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Aurora fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0.
