Gem's Stephan L'Hiver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Russell Gingras in the 36th minute of play. Russell Gingras took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stephan L'Hiver. Stephan L'Hiver dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus Paquet made a kick off. When the final whistle sounded Aurora left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gem.
