The supporters of Sointula AFC booed when Bienfait AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommie Winslow didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bienfait AFC's Andrea Ly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jefferson Wilcox in the 5th minute of play. Bob LondeLalonde blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrea Ly having to make a save. In the 20th minute, Sointula AFC's Jefferson Wilcox ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andrea Ly. Andrea Ly yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Rudolf Godwin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bienfait AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudolf Godwin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merrill Sheppard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chet Bright fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merrill Sheppard having to interfere. Merrill Sheppard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chet Bright in the 29th minute of the match. Chet Bright sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kelley Light charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kelley Light the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th match minute, Sointula AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kelley Light to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jefferson Wilcox in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrea Ly saved Bienfait AFC from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Merrill Sheppard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Godwin in the 53rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bienfait AFC's zone, Jefferson Wilcox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrea Ly came out of the goal and Jefferson Wilcox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Bienfait AFC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Tommie Winslow hit a great ball. If Rudolf Godwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Merrill Sheppard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Godwin, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Bob LondeLalonde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Ly having to interfere. Rudolf Godwin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Merrill Sheppard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes in the game, Rudolf Godwin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Merrill Sheppard having to interfere. Bienfait AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
